BERLIN, July 7, 2026 – Today, ZULA Kids announces the release of its new picture book, „Wo gehöre ich hin?“ (English: Where Do I Belong?). Designed for children ages three to five, the story provides a gentle exploration of belonging, self-discovery, and the unique worth of every child.
In „Wo gehöre ich hin?“, a lively snowflake sets out on a journey to find its place in the world. As the snowflake encounters others who are very different, doubts begin to arise about where it truly fits. The poetic and heartfelt narrative serves as a vital resource for caregivers and educators, offering a meaningful way to discuss identity, self-confidence, and the power of embracing one’s true self.
„With this story, we want to remind children that they are valuable exactly as they are,“ says Janine Vanessa Heinrich, Co-Founder of ZULA Kids. „The snowflake’s journey serves as a powerful reminder of how important it is to find your own voice and have the courage to be yourself.“
The lyrical narrative is written by Akosua Kühlbaack. The expressive illustrations that bring the journey to life are created by designer and illustrator Eunsol Oh, marking her debut as a children’s book illustrator. This release is part of the publisher’s 12 new titles created during the annual Book-A-Thon, mentoring initiative dedicated to providing a platform for creators from underrepresented communities and supporting them in bringing their creativity into the world.
