On September 11, ZULA took part in the Harzer Kiezfest in Berlin-Neukölln. Under the motto “Diversity connects, together we are strong,” Elsenstraße became a meeting place for neighbors, initiatives, social and cultural organizations, and local projects for the afternoon.
More than 30 stands offered a colorful mix of activities for children and families, information from the neighborhood, and plenty of opportunities to connect and exchange ideas. We were there with our ZULA books as well.
The Harzer Kiezfest sees itself as a platform for community life, intercultural exchange, and civic engagement. This approach also aligns closely with ZULA’s mission: stories can make belonging visible, bring different perspectives together, and show children that their experiences and realities have a place.
Many thanks to the Harzer Kiezfest team for organizing the event and for the lovely photo of us!
