Amie Savage

I’m an activist focused on inclusion and disability rights. Having faced both racism and ableism due to my physical disability and skin color, I’ve made it my mission to raise awareness and shed light on these intersecting forms of discrimination. As an illustrator, I use my creativity to bring diverse stories to life. My role in the ZULA Tribe is to visualize narratives that often go unseen—especially those of disabled BIPoC children, who remain vastly underrepresented. I joined the ZULA Tribe because I believe in the power of visibility. Every child deserves to see themselves reflected in stories. By creating space for marginalized voices, we help children—and the adults they become—feel seen, valued, and empowered.
