Amie Savage

Amie Savage is an activist focused on inclusion and disability rights. Having experienced both racism and ableism due to her physical disability and skin color, she uses her work to raise awareness around these intersecting forms of discrimination.

As an illustrator, she brings diverse stories to life and gives visibility to narratives that are often overlooked, especially those of disabled BIPoC children, who remain vastly underrepresented in children’s media.

Amie joined the ZULA Tribe because she believes in the power of visibility. Every child deserves to see themselves reflected in stories. By creating space for marginalized voices, she hopes to help children, and the adults they become, feel seen, valued, and empowered.
